So7o Z Trackpad Lite

A floating trackpad and pointer for Android, with no root and no companion app. This is the Shizuku-free build of So7o Z Trackpad — same pad, same themes, same drawn pointer, and nothing to install alongside it.

The use case. On an unfolded foldable your thumbs rest on the bottom half of the screen, usually over a keyboard, and the top half is out of reach. Park the trackpad beside the thumb that is not typing and one thumb moves the pointer across the whole screen. On a Galaxy Fold with the keyboard on the left, the trackpad sits on the right and the right thumb does the pointing.

Demo. The whole walkthrough: the pad and pointer over Chrome, then over Termux, on the unfolded screen:

If the player will not load, the same clip is at youtube.com/shorts/Vc9253FUyPU.

Version. This build is v0.3.0. The theme panel now has an × close button in its title bar and square preset-row borders, and a click-through fix stops a two-finger right-click from leaking touches to the app underneath.

Meanwhile, the original moved on. So7o Z Trackpad shipped 0.7.0 on 4 October, and the headline is flick to scroll: the edge strips can now bank the whole gesture and spend it as one smooth motion on release — the feel of this Lite build, ported back as an option. The dotted scroll marks that mark the edge strips came along too, and the vdisplay extension gained tap, type and press so an agent can drive the app on a display from pi.
